Dear ladies and gentlemen,
Dear friends,

We celebrate 20 years of partnership between our cities. A partnership that is getting stronger day by day, because Satu Mare and Nyíregyháza share the same values, we have common projects and interests.

In all these years you have been our partners, friends, you have been models for us. We have learned how to develop our communities, to build a future in this part of Europe.

There are 20 years that mean joint projects, worth many millions of euros, through which we rehabilitated heritage buildings, modernized schools, cultural centers, hospital wards, organized cultural events and especially, we brought together the inhabitants of our cities.

Europe is changing and we need to think about our future, how to make our cities a better place, how to make the people of Satu Mare and Nyíregyháza part of this project. We have common goals, common values and together we will find ways to communicate so that people remain with us.

Today we sign a new confirmation of our partnership. I am proud that, as mayor of Satu Mare, I have the honor to sign this document and that together with our friends from Nyíregyháza, we open a new path that we will go together towards the future!
